About Us
Michal Leon
I am an Executive Life coach, and I am passionate about coaching as a means of creating a space for thinking, re-evaluating, removing limiting assumptions and unlocking new possibilities. My professional background includes 22 years in various management positions. I served as a lieutenant in the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) where I trained women cadet officers. I filled different management positions, which included running national projects, organising both large-scale events and many international conferences. I was the Executive Director of The Israel Forum, an NGO, for over 3 years.
For over 16 years in my various positions, I was involved in, and focused on, leadership development.
In 2002, I founded a fair-trade small business in Cape Town with a partner. ‘African Home’ trades in handicrafts made in disadvantaged communities in South Africa, mainly for export.
My educational background includes BA (Hons.) in Psychology and Educational Counselling (University of Tel Aviv, 1983); two Management Diplomas (University of Bar Ilan, 1990; The Open University of Tel Aviv, 1996); and a Coaching Certificate (South African College of Applied Psychology, 2006).
I am a member of Coaches and Mentors South Africa (COMENSA) and of the International Association of Coaches (IAC).
Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, I immigrated to South Africa in 1999. I am married and a mother of 2 grown-up children. |
